1. Core Principle: Local Data
CalfSystem AI SEO Agent is a desktop application. All SEO data — keywords, ranks, audit results, AI conversations, crawler results — is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. We do not have access to this data, do not transmit it to our servers, and do not analyze it.
2. What We DO Collect
We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the service:
- Account data: email, hashed password (BCrypt), license key (for paid tiers).
- Activation data: license validation against our server (no business data attached).
- Payment data: processed by PayPal/Stripe/Alipay/WeChat Pay. We never see your card number.
- Update checks: app version, OS version — used only to deliver compatible updates.
- Aggregated usage telemetry (opt-in): feature usage counts to help us prioritize improvements. You can opt out in Settings.
3. What We DO NOT Collect
- Your SEO data, keywords, or rank results
- Your AI conversations or prompts
- Your crawler results or target sites
- Your Python plugin code or sandbox data
- Any content of files in your project directories
4. Cookies and Local Storage
Our website uses only essential local storage (your theme preference, dark mode setting) and a session token for logged-in areas. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on our marketing pages.
5. Third-Party Services
For payment processing we use PayPal, Stripe, Alipay, WeChat Pay, and LianLian. Each is governed by their own privacy policy. For online AI providers (when you bring your own API key), data flows directly from your machine to the provider — we do not proxy or store your prompts.
6. Your GDPR Rights (EU Users)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification of inaccurate data
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction of processing
- Data portability in a machine-readable format
- Object to processing
- Withdraw consent at any time

7. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, we erase your account data within 30 days. Aggregated telemetry (if opted-in) is retained for up to 24 months in anonymized form.
8. International Data Transfers
For EU users, account data may be processed in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. Your local business data never leaves your device regardless of jurisdiction.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security: TLS 1.3 for all network communication, BCrypt for password hashing, DPAPI for local token storage, and SHA-256 for integrity checks. Source code is auditable on GitHub.
10. Children's Privacy
The Software is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this Policy
We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification and email (for paid users) at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
